Tonight's class at Scraps will focus on "Vellum Paper/Cardstock". Vellum is a product that everyone "wants" and once they get it, don't know what to do with it! Vellum is a great accent paper to use in card making. Use it to emboss an image on the front, then color with Stampin’ Write Markers or Watercolor Wonder Crayons from the back for a muted, stained-glass look. Vellum adds a touch of elegance to your stamped projects. Vellum is also great for overlays and creating soft illusions.

1st Project: We used "Vellum Paper" for this project. We first embossed a piece with the "Elegant Bouquet Impressions Folder" and then used the "Butterfly Punch" to cut out 3 butterflies. By adding a colored butterfly underneath the "Vellum" butterfly, you have created an overlay that allows the color to peak through!

  • Inks: Early Espresso
  • Accessories: Brads

Project #2:

Vellum Cardstock was used on this card. We embossed it with the "Manhattan Flower Impressions Folder" and cut out the extra above the flower. We then used a "Sponge Dauber" and "Pretty In Pink Ink" and added color to the center of each flower!
