We had yet another workshop at our local Scraps yesterday. Trudy was our hostess this time. I thought I would show the girls our new stamp set available May 1st to customers: As demonstrators, we get to purchase products a month in advance of our customers. This stamp set will be available in the new "Summer Mini Catalog" on May 1st. Check your mailbox soon for the catalog to arrive to you if you've placed orders with me in the past. The new stamp set is called "Strength & Hope" and for each set sold, $2 for be donated to "Breast Cancer Research".

  • Accessories: Taffeta Ribbon, Pearl Jewels

#2 Card:


I used the hostess set "Apple Blossoms" for this card and stamped the leafed image twice to create a row using my "Stamp-A-Ma-Jig" for perfect placement:


The little cardstock buttons were made with the "Buttons #5 Embosslit Die". I tied pieces of "Linen Thread" to create the threads through the button holes. If you click on the photo above, you can also see the "shimmer" on the "Shimmery White Cardstock".

The final card for the night is the one below:


Everyone in the group was able to learn how to complete the "Inlaid Embossing Technique". The whole card was created and assembled, except for the butterfly and the main card front, and we ran all the layers through the Big Shot using the Square Lattice Impressions Folder. The embossed panel was then adhered to the Cajun Craze background layer and we finished by adding the butterfly!
