I’m STILL going through photos day by day ---I can’t believe that yesterday was only a week since we wandered around Belfast ---walking down to the market, wandering around, buying our trinkets, hopping a cab, going to the Titanic Exhibit, grabbing another cab – off to lunch…wandering the streets and churches and filling our last day full!

It feels like it was longer ago --- but yet, sometimes just like yesterday!

Temps were in the mid to high 50s, and jackets were needed and I was glad to have brought mine. Such a temperature difference from earlier in the week when we were blissfully roasting in Galway during the Quilt Festival.

St George’s Market is one of Belfast’s oldest attractions. It was built between 1890 and 1896 and is one of the best markets in the UK and Ireland. It has been voted for numerous local and national titles and awards for its fresh, local produce and great atmosphere.

It holds a weekly Friday Variety Market as well as the City Food and Craft Market on Saturdays. It also hosts a range of events throughout the year.

Inside you will find every kind of vendor imaginable, from fish to meat to produce to baked goods to hand crafted items to typical “flea market” and antique finds. Plan on walking slowly – the aisles are packed and there is so much to see!

Fresh fish for dinner – you will find it here!

There were lots of “food court” type booths where you could pick up lunch to go, or eat it there! Paella – YUMMY!

It was a great day to wander Belfast on our own and explore!

And after almost a week home I’m feeling pretty much back to normal and enjoying my time home – working on book stuff, tackling house stuff, planning for cabin stuff!

I’ve got a few more days home – I’m off to Monroe, Louisiana on Thursday for some fun with the North Louisiana Quilters Guild!
