Good Morning Everyone! Our Stampin' Up! Convention is over-with and today Dave and I leave from Salt Lake City, Utah to drive to Hoover Dam and Vegas. We will be spending a few days there and then heading out later to other destinations. As I stated before, I have pre-scheduled all my posts up to July 28th so I'll have photo's of our trip to show you when we get back.

Watercoloring is all the rage right now which is right up my alley. As some of your know, I was an art major in college and have always loved anything artsy. For today's card, I am showing you my version of an "Ink Spreading Technique". This is my card:

Notice the colors Wisteria Wonder and Pear Pizzazz and how they are both "spread"?

I'll show you how I did that. All you need are re-inkers and a Spritzer filled with H2O!

Step 1:

Add 1 drop of re-inker. I used Pear Pizzazz on Watercolor Paper. Immediately spritz with water. As much as you like to make the drop of ink spread. Allow to dry....patiently!

Step 2:

Add a drop of the 2nd re-inker color. In my sample I used Wisteria Wonder. Spritz your drop of ink as you did in Step 1. If you added the ink drops close to each other, both colors should meld together in some areas:

Allow to dry and finish the card as you like. The ink will dry a lot lighter than it appears when in the wet state. I used the stamp sets "World of Dreams" and "Gorgeous Grunge" stamped in StazOn Jet Black Ink to complete my card. I also colored some Rhinestone Jewels using my Cherry Cobbler Blendabilities Marker.

Here is a listing of the supplies:
